2Hello!  I’m Melissa Rush, Founder of Tech Savvy Coach – Social Media + Digital Marketing + Podcasting + Financial Wellness. 

I’m so pleased to share my expertise, story and business with you and connect with you in a meaningful way. 

In the height of the Covid-19 pandemic of 2020, I began my practice as a Financial Professional and Licensed Agent with New York Life Insurance Company. During this tumultuous and uncertain time, I realized it was time to pivot my career trajectory and create financial independence by re-establishing my career in financial services. It took a lot of inner strenghth, confidence, drive and grit, to follow my dream. With a new set of powerful and marketable skills, best-in-class education, licensing and training, I knew it was my purpose to share my knowledge and resources to help others. In 2021, I created a seminar series called “Women, Wealth & Wellness” which brings women together to discuss our personal, emotional physical and financial fitness…and the interconnectedness between all of those facets of our lives. Each session brings together women experts in their fields, such as law, financial planning, medicine, life coaching, wellness and healing, to name a few, in order to educate, inspire, share and empower with other women.

As a financial professional and mother to two young daughters, I am passionate about educating, empowering and helping women, families and business owners protect your loved ones, plan for your retirement, save for your children’s college funds and prepare for your future. Now more than ever, it’s important to talk about your financial security and work with a professional to make a financial plan that is customized just for you. 

Life is a journey. My goal is to help you every step of the way. Everyone I work with is unique. Hustle and Heart Podcast with Melissa Rush

In 2019, Melissa started her flagship podcast, the “Hustle & Heart Podcast with Melissa Rush,” a female-powered talk show to connect with women entrepreneurs and other inspiring women who believe in “girl power” and live their lives in their own unique way, which she produces, develops and hosts. She launched her second podcast in March 2020 called “GOING VIRAL: How to Stay Sane, Healthy & Connected During the Coronavirus Outbreak of 2020,” as a way for people to express their concerns, hardships, big wins and little victories as we social distance, quarantine, homeschool and adjust to the “new normal.” She is also part of the Pod617: The Boston Podcast Network!

She is an expert in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and all Apple products.  She is a Technology Instructor for small businesses and entrepreneurs. Her Tech Savvy Coach clients are diverse in nature, including an international cookware company, women’s clothing boutique, philanthropic organizations, dance studio, medical practice, auto body repair shop, home organizational service and more.

Melissa has almost twenty years of experience as a marketing communications professional, having previously worked at Fidelity Investments, Massachusetts General Hospital, Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Bentley University’s Honors Program as Academic Coordinator and Events Planner, managing the social media and website for the program.

She has a background in Digital Marketing, Social Media management and strategy (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.), as well as Email Marketing, Graphic Design, Logo Design and Branding, Copywriting, Content Creation, Website Design and Development (WordPress, Drupal), Fundraising and Events Planning. 

Melissa received her Master’s degree (M.A.) from Georgetown University’s Communication, Culture and Technology Program at the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences in Washington, DC. She received her Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in International Relations, where she also studied Journalism.She was a Reporter and Copy Editor for the nation’s largest fully independent student newspaper newspaper, The Badger Herald. 

She studied technology communications abroad in Paris, France and lived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands where she worked for a high tech startup. With a flair for travel and foreign languages, she has studied Dutch, Russian, Spanish and French. Melissa loves adventure, and has traveled throughout Europe, including France, The Netherlands, Belgium, England, Switzerland, Germany, Greece, Italy, and Spain, and has also visited Canada and the Caribbean.

Melissa is an active volunteer in her community,  Girl Scout Leader and member of  her local elementary school PAC.  She loves spending time with her family and friends, working on DIY projects, sweating it out at boot camp, singing karaoke, and of course, hosting and producing her podcasts.
